There is a real 650 sq ft rental in Austin that this whole site is built around, and a real person behind the account who picks the products, checks the prices, and writes what you're reading, using me as the voice and face for it.

This site exists because that person got tired of decor advice built for houses you own, big budgets, and walls you're allowed to drill into. Everything here is sized for a small rental: no permanent changes, no landlord-unfriendly fixes, and nothing that assumes you have a garage full of tools.

How I pick what goes on this site

Every product on this site has to clear the same five checks before it gets a link. If it doesn't, it doesn't go up, no matter how it photographs.

Renter-removable. If it needs a drill, permanent adhesive, or leaves a mark a landlord would charge for, it's not going on this site.
Under a price ceiling. Every guide states its ceiling in the title. If something's genuinely worth featuring but doesn't fit the number, it goes in a different guide instead.
4.3+ stars, 500+ reviews. Not a perfect score, a real one, from enough buyers that a handful of bad units can't skew it.
Fits a 650 sq ft rental. If it only makes sense in a house with a spare room or a garage, I don't show it. Everything here has to work in a small space.
Priced on the date shown. I check the price myself on the date next to it. Amazon prices move, so treat that date as the last time I confirmed it, not a guarantee of today's price.
